This is how the team did.
Jackson Hastings – 8: He’s just great. A constant threat. Great game again.
Liam Marshall – 7: Came in and out of the game all evening. Great long break towards the end.

Jake Bibby – 8: One of the best players of the night. Every time he got the ball, he tried to make a difference, and often he did.
Willie Isa – 7: Grew into the game and was one of the top performers in the second half.
Sam Halsall – 7: The next star to come through the system, it appears. Still only 19 but looks relaxed. Great under the high ball, finished his try and excused a punch, had a great game.
Jai Field – 6: A relatively quiet home debut that he had to wait a long time for. Didn’t do anything wrong, but wasn’t particularly noticeable.
Harry Smith – 7: Building a Shape. Asks questions and creates more and more problems when he gets his hands on the ball. Also run the ball well a couple of times.
Tony Clubb – 6: Two short stints and was stable, if not spectacular.
Sam Powell – 7: He got his socks off and was generally where his team needed him.
Ethan Havard – 6: A quieter night for the youngster, but he didn’t go wrong.
Kai Pearce-Paul – 6: Completely anonymous in the first half. I’ve grown into it a bit more in the last 40.
Morgan Smithies – 7: Sin-binned for, well, I’m not sure. But all in all he was tough defensively and very open in that regard.
Joe Shorrocks – 6: Started with this one but didn’t quite get the same effect. Made some stupid mistakes.
John Bateman – 8: Best game in a Wigan shirt since returning to the club. Men were constantly being repulsed, tackled hard and the game backed up with a big game.
Joe Bullock – 7: One of his best games of the season. Carried the ball immensely.
Liam Byrne – 7: Another one that has improved here. In the second half, Hastings was ousted with a large offload.
Zak Hardaker – 7: Solid returns. Caused problems with the ball and although it may have been plagued by a couple of high kicks, it didn’t detract from the good outcome on the return.
