Salford and Tranmere are chasing League One strikers

Kane Hemmings played a huge role in Burton Albion’s rise from relegation danger under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink last season.

Football League World reports that Salford City is the club behind the bid, with Gary Bowyer keen to add firepower to his Ammies roster in that window, having already shown an interest in Hearts’ Armand Gnanduillet.

Forward previously wanted by Gas in connection with League One move

With Joey Barton looking for strikers by the summer deadline, Gas inquired about a loan from Aston Villa’s Cameron Archer.

The Gas were hopeful but the teenagers’ formidable form in the Carabao Cup, who scored a hat trick against Barrow before scoring against Chelsea, meant he stayed at Villa Park.

After three appearances in the Premier League this season, Steven Gerrard seems to give the striker the loan.
