Sainsbury’s announced the opening of a new local store in Salford this July.
The store, titled ‘Sainsbury’s Salford New Bailey Square’, is located in close proximity to Salford Central Station and is designed to provide a “convenient place to shop” for the surrounding workers and residents.
The shop will offer a wide range of food and household products. In addition, a Costa self-service coffee machine, orange juice from a fresh juicer and an in-store bakery are available on site.
Sainsbury’s said the group is “committed to helping their communities” and that the 18 colleagues that make up the Salford New Bailey Square team will play an “active role” in the area and support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programs and charity partners .
Some of the area charities that Sainsbury’s recently supported include Salford Food Bank, Salford Women’s Aid, and Wood Street Mission.
Shelly Williams, Store Manager at Salford New Bailey Square in Sainsbury, said, “Our great team of colleagues have done a fantastic job preparing to go to market and we can’t wait to welcome customers. We know how important it is to have access to high quality food, which is why we are so proud to be able to open the doors today. “
