Mother dead after hitting head near Salford Greater Manchester | United Kingdom | Messages

Becki Schofield, 38, banged her head against a door frame at home after passing out. Although she woke up and appeared to have recovered, she passed out again and eventually died in hospital after suffering cardiac arrest.

The mother-of-five from Salford, Greater Manchester, was described as “a wonderful person inside and out” by grieving friends.

She is survived by children Josh, 21, Nicky, 17, Leo, 12, Frankie, eight, and Jax, two.

Angela Ball, one of her close friends, told the Manchester Evening News Becki was sorely missed.

“She adores her children and always puts them first. Let’s give Becki the farewell she truly deserves, gone but never forgotten,” Angela said today.

“She was a wonderful person inside and out who leaves behind five precious children.”

Becki had been suffering from an illness that caused low blood pressure and blood sugar for about two years.

But it remains unclear why she passed out at home for the first time last week.

The mother was eventually taken to the intensive care unit at Salford Royal Hospital but died in her sleep on Friday.

A donation page has now been set up to support the heartbroken family.

Her family said: “Becki was the most loving mother anyone could know, always making sure her boys were never without her.

“Becki might only have been small, but you didn’t want to upset her about her boys, they were her world as it was hers.

“She had a beautiful, kind heart and always had time for anyone who would give her the same affection.

“Becki was a fighter and fought to the end, she never gave up, even when she was in the hospital last year and coming out again she made sure her boys had an amazing Christmas with their mum without knowing it the last was.

“Becki will be loved by everyone and will never be forgotten.”

A close friend said online: “I woke up. And I’m so shocked, how are you, why did you leave? That should not have happened. Your boys, your young precious life!”

“I’m so sorry Becki, you were the liveliest person with a laugh that could fill the room. I’m glad I got to know you, share memories with you, be your bridesmaid and just generally know you and be your friend.”
