Brett Hodgson is keen that Hull FC will take advantage of their Super League break in the coming days.
After the Hull derby was postponed by two weeks, the black and whites hoped to get back into action on Monday with the visit of the Salford Red Devils at the MKM Stadium.
However, due to Covid’s presence in the Salford camp, this game has been postponed, leaving FC without a Super League game for a fortnight.

“We have some challenges ahead of us as a game and for ourselves we have to do what we have to do in every scenario. We just have to get on with our stuff.

“The break will be good for us, we were hoping for the break in the Challenge Cup week, but now we don’t have that this is our time to try to freshen up and leave for the next part of the season. “
The head coach confirmed after Hull’s win over the Huddersfield Giants on Friday night that he was hoping to welcome seven players back to Salford.
This list of players included Chris Satae and Andre Savelio, who last week represented the Combined Nations All Stars alongside Jake Connor, but also injured players like Josh Bowden, Adam Swift and Carlos Tuimavave.
Several of those names have now returned to full training, and Hodgson suggests the fortnightly layoff will work in their favor as well.
“Most are,” he added when asked if the expected returnees had trained.
“We still have a few things, but we are now in a position where we can take care of them a little more in the near future.”
