InPost and Salford City Council agree on smart parcel lockers – Retail Technology Innovation Hub

Jason Tavaria, CEO of InPost UK, said: “This partnership marks another important milestone in our introduction of lockers across the country and we are very proud to be working with a leading local authority in the North West.”

“The lockers will help support the city council’s sustainability goals by reducing last-mile delivery in and around Salford and making parcel delivery and return more convenient and accessible for all of the county’s population.”

Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett says, “The city council has buildings in the heart of our communities so when people visit places like their local library or recreation center, they can pick up and drop off their parcels too.”

“The service will be invaluable to our residents while also helping to reduce journeys and emissions. I would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone involved for bringing this important ministry to this great city. “
